- Cass Moore (What Cheer, IA) - Drums/Vocals...
I started playing drums with the Sundown III
band when I was around the age of 8. Not really knowing what I was doing besides setting in for 3 songs per gig, I was
brought up on stage to play one night at the Amana Colonies about half way through a four hour gig to see if I could play
the music the rest of the night, I must have done well because since that night I have been the full time drummer for
my Dad's band Sundown III.
I like playing and listening
to all types of music from the good ol' 50's & 60's all the way up thru today, thats why I like playing with
Sundown III is because we play a variety of music, the BEST.
Now since I've gotten older I have started the next part of my musical career, vocals. I have only been
singing a year or so but am doing quit well for just jumping into it. I now have an assortment of songs (11) I sing
including: Play that funky music, The Breeze, Mustang Sally, Hurts so good, Save a horse/Ride a cowboy, Comin' to your
city, Garden Party, Little Willy, R.O.C.K. in the U.S.A., Pink Cadillac and Rock N' Roll by Led Zepplin.
I have 16
years of drumming experience in a band, although my drumming career started when I was 2 years old with my first drum set
a JC Penny one. Since then I have played four different drums sets including: Remo, Tama, Ludwig, and now a Pearl Masters
Studio with a rack system.
