Sid's Bio

- Sidney Moore (North English, IA) - Bass Guitar... -
2003 Iowa
Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame Inductee

Well what can I say but here I go again.  Since playing for the Rock N' Flames back in the 50's and 60's, which was a long time ago, I am now playing again with my brother James on guitar and my nephew Cass on the drums.  I dont have much history with Sundown III since I just started in January of 2007, but I do have some info from a long long time ago (aka The good ol' days). My real first performance was in the spring of 57' in
OttumwaIa.  I played on T.V. for a talent show.  My first dance was in 57' when I played for my sisters prom at the Thornburg school gym.  I used a regular guitar but played bass on it.  I used a home made mic stand and small speakers.

We started playing teen hops 2 to 3 times a week.  Then we finally got some "big" dances playing Danceland in
Cedar Rapids as well as Clear Lake, Val Air in Des Monies and many many more.  Although my musical career was put on hold in Oct. 1961 when I was drafted into the Army.  While in the service, I started playing piano and after two years, I returned to the band playing keyboard.  I have opened for some big acts like as mentioned in my brothers bio.
